"Turkey & Shorty" - A family hopes that an energetic poodle mix named Turkey will be the perfect playmate for their Australian shepherd that's missing a canine companion. And lifelong friends meet Shorty, a terrier-Pomeranian mix they hope will be the loving, social dog they've been searching for. (OAD 10/3/26)

"Owl Around Town" - A snowy owl needs Dr. Barry's care, and a volunteer helps return a great horned owl to its family. (OAD 10/10/26)

THE VISIONEERS WITH ZAY HARDING

"Restoring the Elements from Land to Sea" - Join Zay Harding as he joins some A-list guests at a major port to discover cutting-edge tech clearing maritime air pollution, dives into the health benefits of natural freshwater pools and returns home to Hawaii to explore inspiring local land restoration efforts. DR. CHRIS PET VET

"Tick Tock" - It's a race against the clock as veterinarian Chris Brown tries to help a platypus with over a hundred blood-sucking ticks. Lisa is faced with one of her toughest cases as she suspects that Coco has feline leukemia. And Chris gets a visit from a 2-week-old lamb - who's wearing diapers! (OAD 11/15/14)

THE OPEN ROAD WITH DR. CHRIS

"The Secret Life of Turtles" - Dr. Chris travels to the Great Barrier Reef, where he explores the ocean floor wearing a very unique helmet. He then goes skydiving and gets a spectacular view of the reef from 15,000 feet in the air. Next, Dr. Chris heads out to Heron Island to witness a very important event in the life of green sea turtles. (OAD 01/14/17)

The CBS WKND block is FCC educational/informational (E/I) compliant, targeted to 13- to 16-year-olds and appealing to all viewers. All the programs are specifically designed to further the educational and informational needs of children, have educating and informing children as a significant purpose, and otherwise meet the definition of Core Programming as specified in the Commission's rules.
