Myron Siegel is a low-end Broadway producer who desperately wants to be high end. Aquatic Plants of the Wetland
Bring the family out to the John Bunker Sands Wetland Center to learn about the aquatic plants of the wetland, why they are important and how they help our water. The event will include wetland themed educational activities and crafts. This is a come-and-go event.

Library Card Design Contest
Richardson residents of all ages have an opportunity to showcase their creativity and help design a future library card. There are two art contests-one for adults ages 19 and older and another for children and teens ages 3-18. The winning artwork will appear on new library cards in fall 2026.
Entering the contest is simple. Participants can download an entry form online or pick one up at any Library service desk. Artists are encouraged to create a bright and colorful design using colored pencils, crayons, markers or paint.

Family 4th Celebration
The City of Richardson annual Family 4th Celebration is held at Breckinridge Park. This traditional, patriotic salute is free and open to the entire community. Attendees can bring picnics, blankets and/or lawn chairs and enjoy children's activities, concessions, a patriotic musical salute and fireworks.
Parking is limited, therefore a free round-trip shuttle service will be offered from the designated off-site parking locations at 3001 & 3101 President George Bush Turnpike in Richardson. Shuttles will begin at 6 p.m. and the last bus will depart from the off-site parking to the park at 8:45 p.m.
