Skill, Precision and Dedication: IAM Local 2771 Members Power NATO Pilot Training Mission as Contract Negotiations Approach

IAM International President Brian Bryant, IAMAW Southern TerritoryGeneral Vice President Craig Martin, and IAM Resident General Vice President Jody Bennett recently visited IAM Local 2771 (IAM District 776) members working for M1 Support Services at Sheppard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls, Texas, meeting with the roughly 550 IAM members as they prepare to begin negotiations for a new contract.

These highly skilled IAM members play a critical role in supporting the Euro-NATO Joint Jet Pilot Program (ENJJPT) - the world's only multi-nationally manned and managed flying training program dedicated to producing combat pilots for NATO. Every day, our members perform flight operations and maintenance on the T-6 Texan and T-38 Talon aircraft, helping train the next generation of NATO pilots.

"The work our members do at Sheppard Air Force Base is essential not only to our national defense, but to the readiness of our NATO allies around the world," said IAM International President Brian Bryant. "As these members prepare for negotiations, the entire IAM stands behind them to ensure their hard work and dedication are recognized at the bargaining table."

"Our members at Local 2771 keep this critical training mission running every day, and they deserve a strong contract that reflects the value of the work they do," said IAM Southern Territory General Vice President Craig Martin. "As negotiations approach, our members are united and ready to fight for the improvements they've earned."

Leadership from IAM District 776, Local 2771, the IAM Aerospace Department, the IAM Southern Territory, and the IAM International President's Office were also in attendance for the visit.
