Baltimore County Planning Board Approves Rezoning for Foundry Row

Owings Mills, Md. (May 3, 2012) - Today, the Baltimore County Planning Board voted unanimously to approve rezoning for the former Solo Cup property, paving the way for the new Foundry Row―a 52-acre, $140 million mixed-use development featuring a Wegmans grocery store as its anchor. The Foundry Row project will serve as a retail catalyst that will create significant new economic development and job opportunities for the greater Owings Mills community and Baltimore County.

"We're excited about receiving approvals from the County planning staff and planning board for Foundry Row," said Brian Gibbons, chairman and CEO of Greenberg Gibbons, the project's developer in conjunction with another local firm, Vanguard Equities. "It's a major step forward, and we owe a great deal of thanks to the many community and business organizations that have provided us valuable input and support throughout this process."

Foundry Row will create a vibrant new gateway to Owings Mills. In addition to Wegmans, the 385,000-square-foot project will include a national fitness anchor, a sporting goods anchor, upscale shops and restaurants, as well as 40,000 square feet of office space

It will also be opening a 7,876-square-foot restaurant at Annapolis Towne Centre, the two million-square-foot, mixed-use development. The new restaurant will open in summer 2012, on the first floor below The Chop House and adjacent from P.F. Chang's and Brio Tuscan Grille.
