Curbing Installation on Route 15 Southbound in Hamden

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that curbing installation project will be performed on Route 15 southbound in Hamden. This project is scheduled to occur on Wednesday, October 29 and be completed on Friday, October 31, 2025. The project DOT01730543CN consists of curbing installation a 3.16-mile segment of Route 15 southbound from 0.16 miles north of the overpass for Connolly Parkway to the median crossover just prior to the Heroes tunnel in Hamden. This project is scheduled to be performed by Tilcon.

This project is included in CTDOT's 2025 Vendor Resurfacing Program.

LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO

Motorists can expect lane closures of Route 15 southbound from the Exit 61 on-ramp to the entrance to the Heroes tunnel in Hamden. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns and state troopers will guide motorists through the work zone. The work schedule for this project is from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Wednesday night to Friday morning.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
