October 4th: A Day of Community, Art, and Culture in Lowell
Saturday, October 4th - a day of fall fun in Lowell
From finding your next volunteer opportunity at the Volunteer Fair to sampling brews at Hawktoberfest, October 4th is shaping up to be the perfect fall Saturday in Lowell. Join us to celebrate community, explore streets opened to pedestrians, and immerse yourself in an artist community.
- Time: 11:00AM-2:00PM
- Location: Dutton Street Market, 350A Dutton St (next to the HCID Garage)
- More than 20 local organizations - spanning arts and culture, youth programs, civic engagement, and social services - will be on hand with information and volunteer opportunities for interested community members.
Open Streets Lowell - DIY Lowell
- Time: 12:00-4:00PM
- Location: Merrimack Street, between Kirk Street and Central Street
- For one afternoon, Merrimack Street between Kirk Street and Central Street will be closed to vehicular traffic and open to you! Shop the arts & crafts vendors, enjoy music and dance, and create a craft with your friends.
- Time: 12:00-5:00PM
- Location: Western Avenue Studios, 122 Western Ave.
- Join Western Avenue Studios as they celebrate 20 years of the largest artist community in New England. Explore 5 floors of working studios, 2 floors of live-work lofts, a co-op gallery, a coffee shop, a brewery, and 7 mini-galleries.
- Time: 12:00-5:00PM
- Location: LeLacheur Park, 450 Aiken St.
- Raise your stein and join us for the first-ever Hawktoberfest Brewfest at LeLacheur Park - an Oktoberfest-style celebration of craft beer, food, and live music!
Sample pours from 20+ local and regional breweries, feast on delicious food from local vendors, and enjoy live music all afternoon in the heart of the ballpark. The event offers classic Oktoberfest vibes and plenty of room to relax and enjoy the season.
A free shuttle will connect the Volunteer Fair with the Western Ave Studios' Open Studios and DIY Lowell's Open Streets Lowell Merrimack Street.
