ADA Sidewalk Ramp Upgrades at Route 188 and164 Junction in Middlebury

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that ADA concrete sidewalk upgrades will be performed on Route 188 at the junction of Route 64 in Middlebury. This project is scheduled to begin on or about Monday, April 6 and continue through Monday, April 13, 2026.The project 0170-3719 consists of updating existing ADA ramps to current standard.
This project is being performed by Martin Laviero Contractor's.
LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO
There will be lane closures on Route 188/164 in Middlebury from Monday, April 6 to Monday, April 13, 2026, from 8:00 am. to 4:00 pm. No work will be performed on any scheduled holidays. Traffic control signing patterns and flaggers will guide motorists through the work zone.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
