Pittsburg Police Investigating Officer-Involved Shooting at Police Department
On Thursday September 3rd, Pittsburg Officers arrested a 31-year-old male. He was transported to the police department for booking. While in booking a physical altercation between the suspect and a solo officer occurred during which a firearm was discharged striking both the officer and suspect. The officer was transported to a local hospital and is listed in serious but stable condition. The suspect was also transported to a local hospital and is listed in stable condition. The Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office and Pittsburg Police Investigations Division are on scene and actively investigating the incident.
