Julianne Dellocono, senior nursing student, and Arianna Duncan '18, '24M, Nursing Skills Lab and Simulation director, were recently recognized by the New Jersey League of Nursing (NJLN) and the Daisy Foundation.
Dellocono was awarded the 2025 Dr. Maureen Sullivan Foley Memorial Scholarship Award, while Duncan received the 2025 NJLN Daisy Award for Extraordinary Nurse Educators.
"To be supported in my nursing education is a blessing. I carry the strength of everyone who believed in me as I continue this journey of learning, service, and compassion," Dellocono said.
The Memorial Scholarship Award is presented to eight students-four undergraduates-who are excelling in nursing school and are pursuing advanced nursing degrees or a nursing career. While the Extraordinary Nurse Educators award is given to those fostering a transformative learning environment as an educator and clinician.
"I love being able to share my passion and excitement for the field with students, taking on a mentor role with them, and showing them, what nursing truly is outside of the classroom," Duncan said.
NJLN promotes excellence in nursing education to build a strong and diverse nursing workforce to advance the health of New Jersey, the country, and the global community. The Daisy Foundation celebrates extraordinary, compassionate nurses making a difference in the lives of people around the world.
