Charlotte, NC - Today, the American Trucking Associations' Trucking Association Executives Council recognized a dozen trucking leaders for their service to the industry and to the ATA Federation.
"I am especially proud to recognize this year's honorees because I have had the privilege of serving alongside many of them throughout my career," said Chris Maxwell, president & CEO of the Rhode Island Trucking Association and chairman of TAEC. "Having spent 15 years in this role myself, I know state trucking association executives are often the first call members make when challenges arise and the driving force behind advocacy and outreach efforts. The many decades these leaders have committed to the trucking industry have helped build a collaborative, results-focused culture. Their enumerable contributions have strengthened our organizations, our industry, and the ATA federation we are proud to be part of."
The 12 executives recognized by ATA and TAEC this year have a combined 180 years of experience.
"Leading a state trucking association requires a unique blend of skills. On any given day, these executives are advocates, strategists, communicators, coalition builders, and problem solvers for their members," said ATA Chief Advocacy & Public Affairs Officer Henry Hanscom. "They have devoted a considerable portion of their careers in service to trucking and have played an essential role in building the strong, results-oriented culture that defines the ATA Federation. Their dedication, institutional knowledge, and steady leadership have strengthened our industry and will continue to serve as a foundation for future success."
