DGA Statement on Chris Dudley Entering Republican Primary for Governor in Oregon

DGA Deputy Communications Director Johanna Warshaw issued the following statement in response to Chris Dudley entering the Republican primary for governor in Oregon:

"Oregon Republicans are already facing a messy, crowded clown car of a primary - and failed candidate Chris Dudley's entrance into the race will only push every candidate even further to the right and out of step with Oregonians. Dudley is a California multi-millionaire whose out-of-touch agenda includes backing massive tax breaks for the ultra-wealthy while pushing to lower the minimum wage for hardworking families.

"As Republicans race to prove who's most loyal to Donald Trump, Governor Kotek is focused on tackling the state's toughest challenges: reducing homelessness by building new shelter beds and increasing access to addiction and mental health services, lowering costs, and expanding affordable child care. That's the kind of leadership Oregonians will stick with, no matter who enters the race."
