Slalom Foundation Announces 2025 Grantees across Climate, Workforce Development & Education, and Social Justice

The Slalom Foundation, established in 2019 with a founding focus on social justice, has completed its grant-making for 2025 by awarding over $200,000 to organizations. In 2025 the Foundation expanded its giving to cover three key pillar areas - Climate, Workforce Development & Education, and Social Justice.

"Expanding our giving to three pillars is meaningful because these focus areas were shaped directly by where our team members see the greatest need-and the greatest opportunity for Slalom to make a difference in our communities," said Meagan Breidert, Director of Sustainability and Impact at Slalom. "Ensuring team member voices informed our pillar areas was a critical part of this work."

The organizations who were awarded grants are starting up first of its kind conservation and ecology programs; helping women and families gain access to essential services for job readiness and technology certifications for wealth-building and economic advancement; and creating safe spaces for mental health and movement, as well as early childhood development and parent connection.

Some organizations have extended additional grant funding from past year awards due to their consistent and sustained community impact. "Since 2014, Slalom has stood alongside Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship as a true partner in creating opportunities for youth. In addition to Slalom providing critical support through sponsorships and grants, Slalom's employees show up as mentors, judges, volunteers, and board leaders-bringing real-world experience and heart to our classrooms and pitch competitions," said Jane Walsh Executive Vice President, Chief Advancement Officer Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship.

At Slalom building the workforce of the future means expanding access to skills and opportunities that drive economic mobility. Through investments in job readiness, technology training, and entrepreneurship education, the Slalom Foundation supports programs that prepare individuals-especially those from historically excluded communities-for in demand careers while strengthening talent pipelines.

• EmpowHERto, reimagining what it means to educate the next generation through real-world skills, representation, and holistic support that reflects who they are in Florida
• Families Forward Charlotte, providing financial literacy and job readiness training for families experiencing hardship in North Carolina
• Forest Stewardship Council Investments & Partnerships, protecting conversation areas and certifying additional forests across Latin America and Africa
• Fresh Start Women's Foundation, bridging gaps for women and their families by delivering services to create economic independence in Phoenix
• Fundaction PECH. Creando Impacto Social, amplifying and supporting community-based climate action in the Colombian Caribbean
• HelloBaby, creating a community that offers parents the tools needed and babies a safe and nurturing environment to play and develop in Chicago
• Hope for Youth (HYPE), eliminating sociological, educational, and financial barriers that hinder entry into computing careers for young women and girls of color in Atlanta
• Literacy for Environmental Justice, supporting workforce development, ecology, and apprenticeship programs for youth in the Bay Area, California
• Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship, investing in youth by providing a robust curriculum that develops the entrepreneurial mindset and connects classroom learning to future careers and business startup opportunities
• New Friends New Life, restoring and empowering trafficked and sexually exploited teen girls, women, and their children by ensuring survivors have tangible tools to escape and recover from the industry in Texas
• ReDI School of Digital Integration, enhancing access to free, digital education programs for refugees, migrants, and underserved locals in countries across Europe
• Sea Change Yoga, increasing access to yoga for those healing from trauma and oppression to build thriving communities in Maine
• SisterHouse, eliminating barriers to quality mental health care while empowering women to seek recovery from substance abuse disorders in Chicago
