The University of Toledo will host its final pop-up flu shot clinic of the year from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday in Thompson Student Union.
Vaccines are free for all UToledo faculty, staff and students, and no appointments are required. However, individuals do need to complete a consent form, available at influenza.utoledo.edu, prior to getting their shot.
UToledo will host its final pop-up flu shot clinic of the year from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday in Thompson Student Union.
Though Wednesday's event is the last large vaccine clinic scheduled this fall, students and employees will still have access to free flu shots on both Main and Health Science campuses through Wednesday, Nov. 26.
On Main Campus, influenza vaccines are offered from noon to 4 p.m. on Wednesdays and Fridays at the University Health Center.
On Health Science Campus, vaccines are offered Tuesdays through Fridays at the outpatient pharmacy in the University of Toledo Medical Center Medical Pavilion. Students and employees can get a vaccine Tuesdays from 7 a.m. to noon, Wednesdays from 2 to 6 p.m., and Thursdays and Fridays from 8 a.m. to noon.
University policy requires annual flu vaccines for all healthcare workers at UTMC and other UToledo Health clinics, as well as on-campus students and employees who are not represented by a bargaining unit.
Those required to be vaccinated must have documented proof of vaccination or an approved exemption prior to Monday, Dec. 1.
Students and employees who get vaccinated through the University will have their proof of vaccination uploaded automatically. Individuals who received a flu shot elsewhere can upload proof of vaccination through the University's online vaccine registry.
More information about the University's flu vaccine requirement is available on the University's flu preparation website.
