Chinese Ambassador to Sweden Zhou Limin Meets with Board Members of Sweden-China Trade Council

On March 24, 2026, Ambassador Zhou Limin met with Mr. Ulf Pehrsson, Chairman of Sweden-China Trade Council, as well as other board members. The two sides engaged in friendly exchanges on China-Sweden and China-EU economic and trade relations. 

Ambassador Zhou interpreted the 15th Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development. He noted that China will open wider to the outside world, make vigorous efforts to foster new quality productive forces, and accelerate green transition across the board in economic and social development. He expressed the hope that the Swedish business community will fully leverage the strengths of China's industrial and innovation chains, continue to strengthen cooperation with China, and share in the opportunities arising from China's high-quality development, thereby improving the global competitiveness of Swedish enterprises. He added that China stands ready to further deepen mutually beneficial cooperation with Sweden and promote the steady and sustained development of China-Sweden economic and trade relations along the right track.

Mr. Pehrsson stated that the Swedish business community is closely following China's 15th Five-Year Plan and spoke highly of China's commitment to expanding high-standard opening up, among other initiatives. He emphasized the importance of the Chinese market to Swedish enterprises and expressed willingness to continue to promote the sound and stable development of China-Sweden economic and trade cooperation.
