Jack Ciattarelli Silent as Trump Administration Halts Gateway Tunnel Project, Harming New Jersey Commuters and Economy Arrow

Jack Ciattarelli is once again staying silent as Donald Trump throws the Gateway tunnel project into chaos, threatening to halt a project that improves services for over 200,000 daily commuters, will generate over $200 billion in value for the region, and creates 72,000 local jobs. Trump delayed the Gateway tunnel project during his first term, too - and Jack was just as silent.

Donald Trump is threatening to stop this project and harm New Jersey workers because he refuses to extend health care credits that would stop premiums from doubling for over 450,000 New Jersey families.

As Jack Ciattarelli continues to take money from billionaire landlords and makes clear that his administration doesn't want to raise taxes on millionaires, while simultaneously opening the door to raising taxes on everyday New Jerseyans, Mikie Sherrill is fighting to lower costs and stand up for New Jersey workers.

New Jerseyans deserve someone who is fighting to make their lives easier and more affordable - and that champion is Mikie Sherrill.

In response, DNC Spokesperson Albert Fujii released the following statement:

"Jack Ciattarelli doesn't care that Donald Trump is once again throwing the Gateway Tunnel project and New Jersey economy into chaos, further highlighting how little Jack thinks of hard-working New Jerseyans who actually commute and work for a living. While Donald Trump and Jack Ciattarelli spend their time fighting on behalf of billionaires who have likely never stepped foot on a bus or train, the DNC is all-in to ensure New Jerseyans elect a leader who is fighting to make their lives easier and more affordable: Mikie Sherrill."
