Educational Systems FCU President/CEO Girado Smith Named a 2026 Influential Marylander

The MD|DC Credit Union Association congratulates Girado Smith, President/CEO of Educational Systems Federal Credit Union, on being named a 2026 Influential Marylander by The Daily Record.

The annual recognition honors leaders who have made a significant impact in their industries and communities through their leadership, vision and service.

Smith has dedicated more than 25 years to Educational Systems FCU and has served as President/CEO since 2023. Throughout his career, he has been committed to strengthening financial well-being, supporting Maryland's education community and advancing the credit union movement.

In addition to leading Educational Systems FCU, Smith is an active leader within the credit union industry, serving on several professional and community boards. He also helped establish the Support Education Foundation, which provides scholarships and charitable support for students and school employees, further reflecting his commitment to education and community service.
