Penn State Altoona student-athlete Kira Trexler, of Martinsburg, was named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference's offensive player of the week for women's soccer.
NORTH BOSTON, N.Y. - Penn State Altoona student-athlete Kira Trexler, of Martinsburg, was named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference's Offensive Player of the Week for women's soccer.
Trexler had another great week for the Lions, as she was involved in all three of the team's goals. In a 2-1 victory against Bethany, Trexler scored the equalizer and set up Grace Turner, of Stevensville, Maryland, for the winner. Then against Washington & Jefferson, Trexler set up the lone goal for the Lions in a 4-1 loss.
She finished the week with one goal, two assists, four points, three shots, and three shots on goal.
Penn State Altoona women's soccer returns to action on Sept. 13 when the team travels to Pittsburgh to face Chatham University for a 1 p.m. match.
