Weekly Road Construction Update - Nov. 16 to Nov. 22

Projects Administered by Deschutes County:

South Century Drive/Huntington Road Intersection Improvement (La Pine Area) - Crews will be installing concrete at the intersection of S Century Drive and Huntington Road.

• Traffic Information - Road users should anticipate construction vehicles and equipment entering and exiting the roadway during work hours, 7a.m. - 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. The intersection has an all-way stop and road users should expect to stop on all approaches.

Projects Administered by Other Agencies:

Redmond Wetlands Complex (City of Redmond) - Crews will be doing sewer utility work on Northwest Way.

• Traffic Information - One lane of Northwest Way will be closed to traffic south of NW Euston Lane to the entrance of the Redmond Wetlands Complex. A temporary traffic signal will be in place for the duration of the closure.
• Inquiries pertaining to this work should be directed to the City of Redmond Wetlands Complex project website.

U.S. 97: Terrebonne (Oregon Department of Transportation) - Crews will be installing concrete and doing utility work on 11^th Street and C Avenue.

• Traffic Information - 11^th Street between Smith Rock Way and C Avenue will be closed to vehicle and pedestrian traffic. Signed detour routes are in place. C Avenue will remain closed to vehicle and pedestrian traffic until Nov. 24.
• Lower Bridge Way remains open allowing only right-in, right-out traffic movements. Traffic bound for U.S. 97 North should use the signed detour route along NW 19^th Street and NW Davidson Way.

China Hat Road & FS Road 1815 Closure (US Forest Service) - China Hat Road and Forest Service Road 1815 are both closed at the USFS Boundary for forest thinning work.

• Traffic Information - China Hat Road and FS Road 1815 are closed to all traffic at the end of County maintenance. Access to the area is closed until further notice.

Other Road Impacts:

Cascade Lakes Highway Closure - Crews will close Cascade Lakes Highway for the winter on Tuesday, Nov. 18 at 8 a.m. The road between Mt. Bachelor and FS Road 4270 will remain closed until Deschutes County Road crews can remove the snow that accumulates over the winter and early spring, typically, by Memorial Day, weather permitting.

Paulina Lake Road Closure - Crews will close Paulina Lake Road for the winter on Tuesday, Nov. 18 at 8 a.m. The road east of Ten Mile Sno-Park will remain closed until Deschutes County Road crews can remove the snow that accumulates over the winter and early spring, typically by Memorial Day, weather permitting.
