The City of Tulsa, in partnership with the Office of Health and Well-being, is launching the Mayor's Health Coalition, a new collaborative effort designed to bring together healthcare leaders, community organizations, and residents to improve the overall health and quality of life for all Tulsans.
The Coalition's inaugural meeting will take place on Thursday, November 13, at 1:30 p.m. in the Aaronson Auditorium at Central Library, 400 Civic Center. This meeting is invitation-only for coalition members. Media are welcome to attend for coverage.
Through this initiative, the City aims to identify shared barriers to health, align resources, and create lasting partnerships that address both the medical and social factors that impact well-being.
The Coalition will unite voices from across Tulsa's health ecosystem -including health systems, insurers, public health professionals, social service providers, and neighborhood advocates -to identify opportunities for collective impact.
"Health doesn't begin in the doctor's office," said Dr. Jabraan Pasha, Chief Health Officer, Office of Health & Well-being and Senior Advisor, Community Health, Mayor's Office. "It begins in our homes, schools, workplaces, and neighborhoods. The Mayor's Health Coalition will create a space for collaboration and coordination, helping us build a city where health and equity go hand in hand."
