Cary's wastewater system is comprised of 1,016 miles of pipelines and 42 pump stations that in Fiscal Year 2025 conveyed more than 7.4 billion gallons of wastewater. In Fiscal Year 2025, Cary achieved an exceptional milestone with zero reportable spills; Cary was also honored as the Collection System of the year by the North Carolina American Water Works Association and Water Environment Association.
