NTCA, Trade Associations Request More Time in FCC Equipment Authorization Proceeding

(August 14) NTCA, alongside other trade associations, requested additional time to file comments and reply comments on the FCC's Third Further Notice of Proposed Rulemaking, which proposes changes to equipment authorization rules, including restrictions on devices containing components or software produced by entities on the commission's Covered List. The associations said more time is needed to evaluate the FNPRM's more than 200 questions and develop a comprehensive record on proposals with broad national security and economic implications.
