ABFA STATEMENT ON GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN BIPARTISAN GOVERNMENT FUNDING NEGOTIATIONS

WASHINGTON, DC - Michael McAdams, President of the Advanced Biofuels Association (ABFA), issued the following statement in response to ongoing bipartisan funding negotiations and efforts to re-open the U.S. government:

"The advanced biofuels industry encourages negotiators in Congress to make progress toward a bipartisan funding solution. We look forward to continued engagement with key congressional and federal officials to ensure that the final funding bill provides continued support for domestic advanced biofuel producers and their critical contributions to America's energy dominance agenda.

"Central to achieving our goal is swift resolution of several outstanding fuel policy regulations, including 45Z tax credits and the finalization of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's proposed Renewable Volume Obligations for 2026 and 2027. Our industry urges federal officials to prioritize these issues upon return to full federal operations and provide market certainty for American farmers and advanced biofuel producers across the country."
