Moose activity reported in residential areas

The City is advising residents of multiple reports of wildlife activity in recent days, including three large moose spotted in the Crystal Park School field earlier this morning.

Residents and those in the area are asked to use caution and give wildlife plenty of space. Do not approach or attempt to interact with moose. Dog owners are reminded to keep pets on leash to help prevent unexpected encounters.

To help us respond appropriately:

  • To report a moose in a high population area, such as a school or park, contact 311.
  • If you encounter a sick or aggressive moose, contact Alberta Fish and Wildlife Services at 780-538-5260.
