The City of Grand Prairie and Trinity River Authority are monitoring bacteria levels at Lynn Creek and Loyd Park swim beaches following a Trinity River Authority line break Saturday, July 4.
Currently, sampling indicates both swim beaches and the Loyd Park boat ramp should remain closed until state water quality standards are met. All other areas of Joe Pool Lake remain open.
According to the Trinity River Authority, no public drinking water supplies have been threatened or contaminated and no aquatic life has been affected.
The City will continue to monitor the situation and make updates as more information becomes available.
Additional information from the Trinity River Authority about the line break can be found here
