New Geisinger ConvenientCare open in Schuylkill County

ORWIGSBURG, Pa. - A new Geisinger ConvenientCare walk-in clinic is now open in Schuylkill County, providing community members with access to quick care with no appointment necessary.

The new ConvenientCare officially opened Wednesday, April 1 in the Geisinger Orwigsburg office building at 300 Hollywood Blvd. The clinic is staffed with advanced practitioner providers, two certified register nurse practitioners (CRNPs) and licensed medical staff who can treat adults and children age 1 year or older.

The clinic is open weekdays, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., and weekends, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. with last walk-in patients accepted 15 minutes prior to closing.

ConvenientCare clinics offer walk-in urgent care that allows patients to be seen quicker than a routine office visit. ConvenientCare visits do not replace a patient's primary care provider.

Staff at ConvenientCare locations provide care for:
• Allergies
• Cuts that require stitches
• Insect bites and tick removal
• Ear, urinary and other infections
• Skin rashes
• Sprains and strains
• And more

You can reserve your spot at Geisinger.org/urgent.

In addition to the new urgent care clinic, Geisinger's Orwigsburg office also offers family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, laboratory services and a pharmacy location.

This is Geisinger's latest care expansion in Schuylkill County. The system recently announced plans to expand its cancer center in Pottsville.
