Rep. Bryce Berry to Celebrate Georgia Reads Day at Centennial Academy Charter School in Atlanta, Donates Books in Honor of Georgia Reads Day

ATLANTA - State Representative Bryce Berry (D- Atlanta) will read to students at Centennial Academy Charter School on Monday, September 22, 2025, in honor of Georgia Reads Day. Georgia Reads Day is a statewide initiative that promotes literature and literacy and encourages all Georgians to read.

"As both an educator and a state representative, I believe it is essential to continue advancing efforts to improve literacy rates across Georgia, particularly within our local communities," said Rep. Berry. "Hosting these events and celebrating Georgia Reads Day align closely with my broader educational goals and reinforce the House's commitment to ensuring every child has the resources they need to thrive. I look forward to continuing our work in the community to encourage everyone to pick up a book and read in honor of Georgia Reads Day."

In addition to reading to the students of Centennial Academy, Rep. Berry is hosting a community book drive, partnering with churches, small businesses and non-profits in his district, House District 56, to donate new books to students.

Centennial Academy is located at 531 Luckie St NW, Atlanta, GA 30313.
