October 5, 2026 - The official trailer for " ChiaroScuro ", the new 8-episode light crime series starring Pierpaolo Spollon, Andrea Lattanzi, Matilde Gioli, Romana Maggiora Vergano and Aurora Giovinazzo , with special appearances by Paz Vega and Alessandro Preziosi - is out now. The series, a buddy comedy set in the world of art, is produced by Lux Vide, a Fremantle company, and will have its world premiere at the Rome Film Fest , out of competition in the Freestyle section, and it's coming only on Netflix on November 11 .

Cosmo Speranza ( Pierpaolo Spollon ) is the best art advisor in the business. He can tell whether a work of art is genuine or fake from even the smallest detail. An ability that proves useful when he finds himself working with Rome's Mobile Squad and Inspector Angelo Tiberi ( Andrea Lattanzi ). The two are forced to work side by side, discovering that they make an unlikely yet highly effective investigative duo because, just like a painting, a crime scene can also be a forgery. And no one is better than Cosmo at spotting the clues that can bring down the house of cards built by a killer. But when a painting depicting his childhood home is found at a crime scene, it doesn't take Cosmo long to realize that the killer is speaking directly to him, prompting him to reopen the investigation into his father's suicide. A journey between past and present, where it seems impossible to tell truth from fiction.

The series is written by Umberto Gnoli, Michela Straniero, Francesco Arlanch, Elena Bucaccio and Silvia Leuzzi , and directed by Jan Maria Michelini .
