Ramp Closure on I-84 Eastbound to Route 8 Northbound in Waterbury

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a ramp closure for guiderail repair and tree removal will be performed on I-84 eastbound Exit 20 off-ramp to Route 8 northbound in Waterbury. This project is scheduled to occur on Thursday, October 2 and be completed on Friday, October 3, 2025. This work performed is routine maintenance, guiderail repair & tree removal.
This project is being performed by State Forces.
LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO
Motorists can expect a temporary closure of the I-84 eastbound Exit 20 to Route 8 northbound ramp in Waterbury will be closed starting on Thursday, October 2 to Friday, October 3 ,2025, from 7:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. Traffic will follow the posted detour signs.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
