Online Payment System Announcement

WORCESTER, Mass. - Please be advised that as of 8 a.m. on Monday, June 1, residents can expect to see updates to the municipality's payment platforms, including new invoice designs and online capabilities.

  • General billing will now be available online, and motor vehicle excise tax payments will transition from UniPay to Tyler Technologies. While the look and feel will be updated, much of the functionality will remain unchanged.
  • To accommodate the change, motor vehicle excise payments will not be available as of 4 p.m. today, Friday, May 29.
  • By the end of the year, it is anticipated that real estate and personal property will also transition over to Tyler for a unified, integrated billing system.
  • This change is part of the initial phase of the municipality's transition from its legacy billing system to a modern, cloud-based billing system with expertise in Massachusetts state and local government.
  • This transition, similar to our transition of finance and human resource management systems, is part of the municipality's efforts to embrace modern technologies to improve efficiencies and our ability to serve the public.
  • If you have any questions please contact the City Treasurer & Collector's customer service line at 508-799-1075.
