Forsyth County Board of Commissioners Proclaims April 2026 as Donate Life Month

The Forsyth County Board of Commissioners proclaimed April 2026 as Donate Life Month during its regular meeting on April 2, recognizing the importance of organ, eye and tissue donation and the life-saving impact it has on individuals and families.

Donate Life Month serves as an opportunity to honor those who have given the gift of life through donation and to raise awareness about the ongoing need for organ, eye and tissue donors. Across the United States, more than 100,000 men, women and children are currently waiting for an organ transplant, including nearly 3,000 Georgians.

The Board of Commissioners encourages residents to learn more about organ, eye and tissue donation and urges the community to honor those who have given the gift of life and to help raise awareness about the critical importance of donation.
