The College of Health invites all students and employees to attend 'Everyone at the Table: Building Inclusive Public Health Education Practices' on April 6.
Join us for a National Public Health Week panel exploring inclusive public health education practices, where community partners share strategies, challenges, and real-world insights on advancing health equity and accessibility.
We are excited to welcome two dedicated public health professionals who are doing impactful work to advance inclusive health education and community well-being across Alaska.
Emily Vandergon, inclusive health manager at Special Olympics Alaska, works to improve health access and inclusion for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, bringing experience in health education and community-based programming.
Joining her is Jordan Sullivan, public health educator with the Municipality of Anchorage Health Department, who focuses on inclusive sexual health education, substance harm reduction and youth development through community partnerships.
Together, they bring a shared commitment to health equity, inclusive practices and empowering communities across the lifespan.
