DNC Mobilizes Support for Missouri Democrats in Latest Fight Against Donald Trump’s Gerrymandering Scheme Arrow

After rallying in Texas and Chicago against Donald Trump's gerrymandering attacks, the DNC is all hands on deck to support Missouri Democrats and Missouri voters as they defend against Republicans' plot to rig congressional maps ahead of the 2026 midterms.

The DNC will leverage its tens of thousands of volunteers to hold Republicans accountable for their attacks on democracy, supporting Missouri Democrats and in-state partners in a rally at the Missouri state capitol tomorrow, Wednesday, September 10.

Democrats have launched a nationwide fight against Trump's rigged maps.

As Ohio Republicans prepare to push through gerrymandered maps, Ohio Democratic House Leader Dani Isaacsohn and State Rep. Desiree Tims will also join Missouri Democrats at Wednesday's rally in an act of solidarity.

DNC Chair Ken Martin released the following statement:

Donald Trump and his party have ripped health care away from working families and jacked up prices on everyday goods in a self-serving plot to make the ultra-wealthy even wealthier. Now, instead of facing the music with the voters they've pissed off, Republicans want to silence them. Democrats won't let that happen. The Democratic Party is united in our commitment to defend the American people against Republicans' war on their rights and their pocketbooks. That's why the DNC is marshaling its resources to Missouri, the latest epicenter of Trump's gerrymandering scheme. The DNC stands with Missouri Democrats and voters across this country against Trump's plot to rig congressional maps. From the Missouri state House to Washington, D.C., the American people will be heard."

The DNC is providing strategic support to the Missouri Democrats and Democrats across the country defending against Trump's efforts to rig 2026 congressional maps. In the fight to defend Missouri voters' rights the DNC:

• Is leveraging its 41,000-person distributed volunteer team to inform Missourians about Wednesday's rally and the stakes of this redistricting fight;
• Has already empowered over 2,000 Missourians with the information they need to submit public comment during the Missouri legislature's hearing process;
• Has supported Missouri Democrats with crowdbuild for town halls across the state;
• Is supporting the Missouri Democratic Party's communications, organizing, and political efforts during this redistricting fight;
• Has recruited micro-influencers to raise awareness about Republicans' attempt to undermine their ability to hold their elected representatives accountable in Missouri and across the country.
