China’s CMG and TDM exchanged a licensing agreement for the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics

China Media Group and Teledifusao de Macau signed a licensing deal in Macao SAR that gives TDM the media rights for the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics. CMG will provide its Winter Games programming to TDM at no cost, enabling Macao viewers to watch live events and related content through TDM's channels like Macao Sport and Macao Info, as well as its website and mobile app.

This partnership continues a pattern of cooperation between the two broadcasters, who have previously worked together on coverage of the Tokyo Olympics, Beijing Winter Olympics, Hangzhou Asian Games, and Paris Olympics.

The Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics will be held in Italy from February 6 to February 22, 2026. CMG stands as the only media organization worldwide participating in 8K signal production for the Games. The broadcaster will use advanced technologies including artificial intelligence and 8K ultra-high-definition capabilities in its production and coverage. CMG will also take on a new responsibility at these Games, producing the international public signal for short-track speed skating and figure skating competitions for the first time.
