Friendships get messy, timing gets complicated and feelings surface in Netflix's official trailer for Love in Slow Motion . Starring Nour Al Ghandour , Ali Kakooli , Fatima Alshereef, Noha Nabil, and Shoug AlHadi , the trailer offers audiences a charming first look at a heartfelt Arabic rom-com about love's unexpected arrival.

At the heart of the story are Haya (Nour Al Ghadour) and Jawad (Ali Kakooli) , inseparable best friends whose easy-going dynamic is tested when Haya begins to see the relationship in a new light. Just as she finds the courage to confess her feelings after years of keeping Jawad in the friend zone, he surprises her with the news of his engagement to Zeina (Noha Nabil) , a boisterous and successful actress. Realizing she may have been looking for love in all the wrong places, Haya sets out on a hilarious mission to win him back.

With the constant encouragement of her supportive sister Dalal (Shoug AlHadi) , her opinionated aunt (Fatima Alshereef) and her loyal sidekick, Cuba the chimp always by her side, Haya documents every awkward twist, turn and emotional spiral through a series of private vlogs, taking audiences along on a journey that is relatable, chaotic and heartfelt all at the same time.

Love in Slow Motion explores one question: what happens when you realize the love you've been searching for has been right in front of you all along but you only realize it when you risk losing it?

Produced by Jamal Sannan and Eagle Films, and written by Eyad Saleh, Love in Slow Motion marks Eagle Film's third collaboration with Netflix in the Arabic rom-com genre.

Love in Slow Motion premieres globally on Netflix on July 23, 2026.
