CHEYENNE, Wyo. - The Wyoming Supreme Court will hear oral arguments on Thursday, Oct. 16, 2025, in Laramie at the University of Wyoming College of Law.
The Court will hear argument first in Castaner v. State (S-25-0107), an appeal from a district court's sentencing of a juvenile defendant who pled guilty to stalking and second-degree murder. Immediately following, the Court will hear arguments in Voscopoulos v. Reese (S-25-0102), a case involving a dispute between owners of a Wyoming limited liability corporation that buys real estate to renovate and manage as rental properties in Florida.
"Whenever we hold oral arguments outside Cheyenne, we select cases that will engage attendees and highlight important areas of the law," said Chief Justice Lynne Boomgaarden. "This session will offer UW students and the broader Laramie community an opportunity to observe how the Court works through and decides real legal disputes."
Following the oral arguments, the justices will hold a question-and-answer session with UW law students.
The Court will convene at 9 a.m. in room 178 at the Brimmer Legal Education Center located at 1000 E. University Ave. in Laramie. Oral arguments are open to the public and University of Wyoming students.
Under the rules of the Wyoming Supreme Court, audio and video recordings, as well as photography, are prohibited during proceedings.
Additional details, including case information and a live audio broadcast link, are available on the Wyoming Judicial Branch website.
