Back in Session: Republicans in Congress Scramble as Americans Demand Answers on Epstein and the Economy Arrow

As Congress returns today, it seems like the only thing Republicans did during recess was get heckled by their own constituents at town halls. Now they're back in D.C. and there's a lot to answer for - Americans are facing high prices and massive layoffs; Trump's budget bill made the biggest health care cuts in history while his billionaire buddies are giddy over their new tax handouts; and a massive cover-up is underway at the White House as Trump's administration continues to hide the truth behind the Epstein Files.

In response, DNC Communications Director Rosemary Boeglin released the following statement:

"Republicans are returning to Congress with nothing to show for the summer recess except a string of humiliating town halls and embarrassing headlines - and absolutely zero plans to bring down costs. On everything from the economy to the Epstein Files, Republicans have made it clear that they're all about doing favors for the rich and powerful while throwing working families under the bus. Even their own voters are outraged and demanding answers - and Republicans will be held accountable in the midterm elections. All eyes are on Republicans as they try to dig themselves out of the mess they created."

As Republicans return to D.C., their approval ratings continue to plummet, and Trump's historically low approval rating remains underwater. Republicans can't avoid reality: their unpopular agenda is dragging them down, and it will cost them at the ballot box.
