Parkview Boulevard Water Main Replacement Project Glendale Boulevard to Martha Street

The City of Sioux City announces the upcoming start of the Parkview Boulevard Water Main Replacement Project. This project will include water main and water service replacements along Parkview Boulevard from Glendale Boulevard to Martha Street and adjacent areas: Gateway Place, Melrose Avenue from Glendale Boulevard to 18th Street and Glendale Boulevard from Gateway Place to 17th Street.
Construction is anticipated to start on May 26, 2026, and will be completed in small segments to reduce full road closure limits and timeframes of each closure. Local access will be maintained with driveway closures kept to a minimum while the water main is installed. To minimize potential conflicts while school is in session, no work will take place along 18th Street / Parkview Boulevard prior to June 1st. Final project completion is anticipated in October 2026.
City staff, project design engineers, and the contractor, Sioux City Engineering Company, will be available to discuss project details with residents on Thursday, May 21st from 4:30pm to 5:30pm at Kelly Park (3300 Parkview Boulevard).
