New Brunswick Launches Monthly 'Second Saturday' Park Cleanups



NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ (August 7, 2026) - Community members are invited to help keep local parks litter-free as New Brunswick kicks off its "Second Saturday Cleanups" series this Saturday, August 8.

The inaugural event will take place at Recreation Park, 7 Pine St., from 9 to 11 a.m.

The monthly initiative runs from August through November, featuring morning cleanup efforts at a different City park on the second Saturday of each month:

  • Aug. 8: Recreation Park
  • Sept. 12: Alice Jennings Archibald Park
  • Oct. 10: Boyd Park
  • Nov. 14: Buccleuch Park
