  • Van Dorn Street from SW 27th Street to Fairview Lane will have an eastbound lane closure beginning Monday, May 18. Traffic will be maintained on Van Dorn Street with flagging operations. The street is scheduled to reopen Friday, May 22, weather permitting.
  • 27th Street from Calvert to Van Dorn streets will close beginning Tuesday, May 19, for water main installation, with additional lane closures from Nebraska Parkway to Laurel Street for concrete repairs. These improvements are part of the 27th from Nebraska Parkway to South Street Improvements project. Improvements are expected to be completed in summer 2027. The recommended detour is Sheridan Boulevard, South 33rd Street, and Nebraska Parkway.

Travelers are encouraged to seek an alternate route and exercise caution around these closures. LTU appreciates the public's patience during these closures and reminds residents that project dates are subject to change due to weather and unforeseen circumstances.
