ST. LOUIS - Drivers who use northbound Interstate 270 near Interstate 64 should be aware that northbound lanes will shift, starting tomorrow.
The work has been accelerated due to warming temperatures. Crews will also close Conway under the interstate this weekend.
Weather permitting, crews will close up to two additional northbound lanes on I-270 near I-64 (mile marker 12) overnight Thursday, February 5 and Friday, February 6 to move barrier wall and remove and replace striping for the shift. One additional lane will close each evening at 8 p.m., and the second lane closes at 10 p.m., with lanes reopening by 5 a.m. the following morning. At least one through lane will always remain open. When lanes reopen on Saturday, February 7, drivers should be aware of the changing traffic pattern with three northbound lanes pushed to the left around work on the right side of the interstate.
This weekend, crews will close Conway Road under the interstate starting Friday, February 6 at 9 p.m. to remove the interstate bridge overhead. Conway will reopen Monday, February 9 by 5 a.m.
The work is part of the on-going project to replace the I-270 bridge over Conway Road and the widening of the I-270 bridge over Ladue Road. For more on the project, visit: https://www.modot.org/projects/interstate-270-bridge-replacement-conway-road-st-louis.
