VIDEO: Ahead of Father’s Day, Senator Moody Introduces Resolution Honoring Dads

WASHINGTON, D.C.- Prior to Father's Day, Senator Ashley Moody delivered remarks on the Senate Floor about the importance of fathers and the role they play in strengthening families. In her remarks, Senator Moody spoke about her husband, Justin, a law enforcement officer and father, as well as her own father who helped instill in her the values of service, integrity, and leadership. Senator Moody also introduced a resolution recognizing dads on Father's Day.

"As Father's Day approaches, I've been reflecting on the importance of dads. My husband, Justin, works long hours as a law enforcement officer, protecting our community, serving others, and still being there for our sons. Helping with homework, supporting their activities, and modeling what it looks like to be a good man and great husband. It's important to support and encourage our dads across the country who are building the character of our next generation of Americans," said Senator Ashley Moody.

• Earlier this week, Senator Moody spoke on the Senate Floor about the importance of fathers in our lives and the role they play in building the leaders of our next generation.
• Senator Moody introduced Senate Resolution 773: A resolution recognizing Father's Day.
• This week, Senator Moody voted to advance The Healthy Start Reauthorization Act of 2025 out of the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee. This legislation authorizes federal funding for the Healthy Start Initiative, the National Fatherhood Initiatives, and other community programs to better support American families and dads. The bill now heads to the Senate Floor.
