Ward appointed to international livestock board

North Dakota Stockmen's Association (NDSA) Chief Brand Inspector Corby Ward was appointed as a director of the International Livestock Identification Association's (ILIA) board during the organization's annual conference in Layton, Utah, last week.
The ILIA is an international organization dedicated to the promotion, administration and enforcement of livestock identification and inspection laws and providing a conduit for animal identification and agricultural professionals to share information and collaborate across member states and provinces.
"We are very proud of the work Corby does to protect producers and enforce livestock laws in North Dakota in his role as our chief," said NDSA Brand Board Chairman Joe Schettler, a Killdeer, N.D., cow-calf producer. "We know he is well suited for this new ILIA position and will be able to make a difference on both the national and international stage."
The new 2026-2027 ILIA Executive Committee consists of Ward; President CJ Fell of Nebraska; President-Elect Rob Maerz of Alberta, Canada; Immediate Past President Ty Thomas of Montana; Vice President Richard Wright of California; Secretary-Treasurer Chad Parker of California; and Canada Director At-Large Shawn McLean of Alberta, Canada.
