DENVER - Denver's Department of Transportation and Infrastructure (DOTI) would like the public to be aware of upcoming infrastructure improvements that could impact travel.
Coming up: Overnight lane-closures on Santa Fe Drive
DOTI, in cooperation with Hamon Infrastructure, is using the overnight hours to pour the deck for the new West Jewell Avenue Bicycle and Pedestrian Bridge! The work will start around 7 p.m. on Wednesday, August 26, and be completed by 6 a.m. on Thursday, August 27 (with a backup date of Thursday night into Friday, if needed to complete the work). This safety-critical job will require the full closure of the Evans Avenue on-ramp to northbound Santa Fe Drive and various single to double lane closures in both directions of Santa Fe Drive between Evans and Florida avenues. The on-ramp will remain closed after the deck pour for up to two weeks for safety.
Weekend Closure of E. Yale Avenue at S. Holly Street for Trail Improvements
A full closure of East Yale Avenue at Holly Street is scheduled for this weekend, starting at 7 p.m. Friday, August 28, until 4 p.m. Monday, August 31, so that a contractor for DOTI can install a new underpass for users of the High Line Canal Trail, allowing them to avoid conflicts with cars at street-level. The Yale Avenue closure is needed, as the large-scale operation requires full use of the roadway to move equipment and materials. Detour routes will be posted. More details on the project and travel updates can be found at High Line Canal Trail Underpass at Yale and Holly Project website.
