Description:

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is warning consumers to stop using multiple hair dryer brushes immediately because they lack an integrated immersion protection device that can result in risk of serious injury or death from electrocution and shock. The hair dryer brushes are in violation of the federal regulations for hair dryers and present a substantial product hazard.

CPSC urges consumers to stop using the hair dryers immediately and destroy the hair dryers by unplugging them, cutting the cord and disposing of them in the garbage. Do not sell or give away these hazardous hair dryers.

The Chinese sellers, Zuoxukeji and Jowenia, sold these products on Walmart.com and have been unresponsive to CPSC's requests for a recall of these hair dryers.

The Chinese seller, TruPart, sold these products on eBay.com and has been unresponsive to CPSC's requests for a recall of these hair dryers.

The products were manufactured in China.

This warning involves multiple hair dryer brushes. The hair dryer is a black hot air dryer paddle brush with a pink design and brush bristles. There are three heat settings on the dryer.

The hair dryer was sold on Walmart.com as Jowenia One-Step Hair Dryer and Styler, 3 in 1 Negative Ion Blow Dryer Brush for Smooth, Frizz Free Results for All Hair TypeS, brand name Haokaini. The top of the product packaging is labeled XRUI with the model name XR-8801.

The hair dryer was also sold on Walmart.com as Tebru Paddle Brush, Electric Hair Dryer, 2 in 1 Multifunctional Anion Hair Dryer Brush Comb Styler Hairdressing Tool. The top of the product packaging is labeled XRUI with the model name XR-8801.

The hair dryer was sold on Ebay.com as Hair Dryer and Blow Dryer Brush, Hair Straightener Brush Hair Dryer Hot Air Brush. The top of the product packaging is labeled XRUI with the model name XR-8801.

The hair dryer was sold on TikTok Shop as Multifunctional hot air brush, 1 box of automatic curlers, negative ion hot air brush, hair styling tools suitable for home and salon use, everyday hair tools.

The recalled medicated wipes contain lidocaine, which must be in child-resistant packaging, as required by the Poison Prevention Packaging Act. The packaging of the wipes is not child-resistant, posing a risk of serious injury or death from poisoning if the contents of the wipes are ingested by young children.

The recalled delivery boxes violate the mandatory standard for consumer products containing button cell and coin batteries because they contain a lithium coin battery that can be easily accessed by children, posing an ingestion hazard. The packaging also does not bear the required warning labels for products containing such batteries as required by Reese's Law. If button cell or coin batteries are swallowed, the ingested batteries can cause serious injuries, including internal chemical burns, and death.
