The Los Angeles County Office of Education's (LACOE) Student Support Services unit is hosting their annual Stuff the Bus drive. Join the Homeless Education Program (HEP) in collecting much needed school supplies for students experiencing homelessness across Los Angeles County.
Donations can be dropped off in Stuff the Bus boxes located in LACOE lobbies from now through Friday, Sept. 4, 2026.
Stuff the Bus Impact: 2025 Donation Highlights
Last year's Stuff the Bus campaign, together with our Countywide distribution efforts, supported 107 Local Educational Agencies (LEAs) across Los Angeles County. Thanks to the generosity of our partners, donors, volunteers and LACOE staff, we distributed:
The Stuff the Bus drive also collected thousands of school supplies including backpacks, pencils, notebooks, folders, glue sticks, scissors, rulers, calculators and more to support students throughout the county.
Prefer to Donate Financially?
You can also support the Greater LA Homeless Education Charitable Fund. Every financial contribution will be used to purchase school supplies for students experiencing homelessness.

About HEP
LACOE's Homeless Education Program (HEP) partners with school districts and charter schools to support students experiencing homelessness. HEP helps local educational agencies implement the McKinney Vento Homeless Assistance Act by promoting school enrollment, attendance, educational stability and student success.
