At today's session, the Government of the Republic of Serbia adopted the Decision on the formation of a negotiating team to conduct negotiations with the European Commission for the inclusion of the Republic of Serbia in the European Roam Like at Home regime, thereby creating conditions for coordinated negotiations and harmonisation of the domestic regulatory framework with the acquis communautaire of the European Union in the field of roaming.
Serbia's inclusion in this regime will enable individuals and businesses to use mobile communication services more conveniently when staying in the countries of the Union, and the decision represents an important step in the process of further integration of Serbia into the European Digital Single Market and strengthening cooperation with the European Union in the field of electronic communications.
The ministers adopted a Conclusion on establishing the basis for conducting negotiations and concluding an agreement on the establishment of the World Artificial Intelligence Cooperation Organization, thereby granting Serbia the status of one of the founding members of this international organisation.
This will contribute to the improvement of scientific and technological cooperation and the exchange of knowledge and experience in the field of development and application of artificial intelligence, as well as the development of joint research and innovation projects.
The cabinet also adopted a Conclusion on the agreement to provide the Serbian Orthodox Church with funds to complete the work on the Saint Sava church in Belgrade, to finance the remaining work on the mosaic, as well as the decoration and furnishing of one of the most significant spiritual and cultural buildings of the Serbian people.
The government members agreed to have the remains of Blagoje Jovović transferred from Argentina and buried in Belgrade, thus paying tribute to the man who assassinated the Ustasha leader Ante Pavelić in Lomas del Palomar, Argentina, in 1957.
Blagoje Jovović was a fighter in the Yugoslav Army in his homeland, and the day of the assassination was symbolically set as 10 April, the date when the infamous Independent State of Croatia was founded.
