EVANSVILLE - Today, U.S. Senator Todd Young (R-Ind.) welcomed U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) Secretary Sean Duffy to southwest Indiana to discuss progress on the I-69 Ohio River Crossing bridge project. "We appreciate Secretary Duffy taking the time to join stakeholders from Indiana and Kentucky for a tour of the I-69 Ohio River Crossing project," said Senator Young. "Once completed, this new corridor will enhance the connection between Indiana and Kentucky and unlock significant economic benefits for southwest Indiana. Completing this project is a major priority of mine, and I look forward to continued collaboration with the U.S. Department of Transportation."
Young has been working for years to secure federal funding for the I-69 Ohio River Crossing project to fill a crucial final gap in the nation's transportation infrastructure. The project links I-69 between Indiana and Kentucky over the Ohio River and, once completed, will enhance the connection between Indiana and Kentucky and open new opportunities for southwest Indiana.
