Community members invited to presentation on City’s CARE program

The City of Columbia is hosting a Community Classroom session on the City's Career Awareness Related Experience (CARE) Program from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 21 in Conference Rooms 1A/1B in City Hall, 701 E. Broadway.

The CARE Program, run by the Parks and Recreation department, helps hire 14- to 20-year-olds and places them at local businesses. There, they gain much-needed real-world hands-on work experience while getting paid. CARE Program applications are open Jan. 1 through March 8.

The City is asking attendees to register at the Community Classroom: CARE Program Registration page to ensure enough refreshments are available.

The City's Community Connectors program hosts the Community Classroom series. The program's goal is to foster dialogue and build trust between community members and city government. To learn more, visit CoMo.gov/Connect.
