The 21st International Maritime Conference - the oldest and largest maritime conference in the Baltics - will take place on September 26, 2025 at the Tallink SPA & Conference Hotel in Tallinn. Organized by the Estonian Shipowners' Association, Port of Tallinn, TalTech Estonian Maritime Academy, Tallink Group, and Corpore Conferences, the event will gather more than 30 top maritime experts as speakers under the theme "New Reality in Maritime."
Keynote speakers include Costas Kadis, European Commissioner for Fisheries and Oceans, and Sotiris Raptis, Secretary General of the European Community Shipowners' Associations (ECSA). The conference also marks World Maritime Day, bringing together leaders from Estonia and neighboring countries' maritime, transport, public, academic, and business sectors to discuss the industry's future and propose solutions that strengthen both the economy and society.
The Port of Tallinn plays a central role in this year's conference, emphasizing how ports are evolving beyond transport hubs into strategic players in Europe's energy transition.
"Ports are no longer just gateways for cargo and passengers - they are becoming the energy hubs of the future, enabling renewable fuel production, electrification, and green logistics," said Margus Vihman, Chief Commercial Officer at Port of Tallinn. "As one of the region's leading ports, we are committed to accelerating the shift toward a more sustainable maritime sector, and this conference is the perfect platform to exchange ideas and chart the way forward."
With its long tradition and future-oriented agenda, the International Maritime Conference offers a unique opportunity to connect with industry pioneers, policymakers, and innovators shaping the next era of shipping.
