Help support the UAA Faculty and Staff Association

Dear Colleagues,

As we prepare for the upcoming legislative session, your support of the UAA Faculty and Staff Association is more important than ever.

Founded in 1971, the UAA Faculty and Staff Association is a voluntary organization and registered political action committee (PAC) that operates independently of the University's formal structure. Our mission is to advocate for the growth, development, and long-term success of UAA.

We meet regularly with legislators, candidates, members of the Board of Regents, and university officials to champion UAA's priorities - chief among them, securing a stable and adequate budget, and increasing funding for building repair, renovation, maintenance and student scholarships.

Our current advocacy efforts include:

  • Tracking legislation that affects the University of Alaska
  • Evaluating the performance of Anchorage-area legislators
  • Supporting candidates who prioritize UAA through campaign contributions
  • Promoting campaigns on behalf of the UA system

In recent years, we have advocated for:

  • Stable funding for student scholarships
  • Increased investment in building maintenance
  • Reauthorization of vocational and technical education funding
  • Expansion of WWAMI medical education support
  • Solving UA's land grant deficit

We need your help to continue this work. Your contribution keeps the Association active and effective. Please consider donating today to support our efforts on behalf of UAA.
